I met Eileen 8 years ago at her grandaughters christening. Her daughter Michelle, and I, became friends through our children a couple of years before and our families became the best of friends. 

There is 1 particularly special evening that we will never forget. Eileen and Mike were down south visiting Michelle and her family at the same time as my parents were visiting myself and my family. We decided that it would be nice for them to meet, just for a brew and a slice of cake in the afternoon, all being northern we knew theyd get along! And what a day/night it became! So much fun, or shall i say histerics, tears of laughter for hours! We decided to play cards against humanity! My parents had never played it before and we will certainly never forget it! We ended up ordering pizza and playing the game into the early hours. Memories for life! 

Eileen, you were one special lady, mum, nanna, great nanna and friend. You put on your tough brave face throughout the last 3 years but when we met, you always opened up and shared your true feelings and journey with me and we shed a tear together. 

You fought for your family every step of the way, but it eventually became too much. Sleep tight and rest peacefully knowing you will be missed by so many every day.
